If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka, you know it’s one of the busiest parts of Mumbai. Our place, Reine Clothing, is in the Samhita Commercial Complex, specifically Building 16A, Gala 19. It’s a real industrial vibe here. There is always the sound of trucks loading up or someone shouting across the courtyard. We’ve been in this gala for a bit now, and it’s where all the magic—or mostly just hard work—happens. We deal with all sorts of clothing items. The floors are usually covered in threads and bits of paper patterns. We don't have a fancy lobby with a fountain. It’s just a place where we get the work done. Some mornings start early with a lot of coffee while we look over the production schedule. We have a small team, and we all know each other’s business, which is just how it goes in a place like this. Sometimes the machines act up, or the fabric delivery is late because of the Sakinaka traffic, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Mumbai; we just want to make decent clothes that people actually want to wear. It’s honest work, and we are glad to be part of the community here in the complex. If you’re looking for us, just look for Building 16A. We usually have the doors open to let some air in during the afternoon.
