Working out of the Gundecha Industrial Complex in Kandivali East is always an adventure. If you know Akruli Road, you know how the traffic gets near Growel’s mall. Real Value Fashion is based in Gala 322. It’s a busy building with a lot of different businesses, so there is always someone moving boxes in the hallways or waiting for the lift. We spend most of our hours inside the gala, dealing with designs and textiles. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it keeps us on our toes. We started this because we liked clothes and wanted to make something useful. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and checking the inventory. Other days, we are rushing to finish orders before the sun goes down. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy reception area. It’s just a workspace with tables, chairs, and lots of fabric scraps. People ask why we picked this spot, and honestly, it’s just where we found the right space at the right time. We just focus on getting the fashion side of things done without making a big fuss about it. If you ever come by the industrial estate, you’ll find us there among the other units, just doing our thing day in and day out. It is a lot of climbing stairs if the lift is broken, which happens more than we like.
