Our office is tucked away on the seventh floor of the Vastu Pali Hill building right on Nargis Dutt Road. Being in Bandra means it’s always a bit hectic outside, but once you get up to the 702 unit, things quiet down a little. We handle capital work here. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and looking at market trends on our monitors. The space is okay, though we could probably use a few more chairs for when people stop by unexpectedly. We don't put on a big show. It’s just us sitting here, working through the numbers. Sometimes the monsoon makes the commute to Pali Hill a real pain, but we manage to get in every morning. We’ve got a view of some other buildings and a bit of the greenery that’s left in this part of Mumbai. We usually get our coffee from the small shop around the corner because our own machine is a bit temperamental. Working in finance in a place like this keeps you on your toes. There’s always someone calling about something urgent. We just take it as it comes. It's not like those big corporate offices you see in movies with glass walls and suits everywhere. We wear what’s comfortable and focus on getting the tasks done. It’s a steady routine of paperwork and digital records that keeps the lights on. It is a practical way to spend the work week for us.
