Practising As C.A.

Our spot is in Pantnagar, specifically over in Naidu colony in Ghatkopar East. If you know the area, it’s 400075. It is a bit of a walk from the station but not too bad if the weather is nice. The office is really just a place where the tax work happens. We have been in this building for some time now. There are desks and computers and a lot of paper everywhere. Accounting is mostly just keeping track of things and making sure the government is happy with the filings. We deal with audits and GST and all those things that people find confusing. It’s not exciting work but it has to be done. Sometimes the office gets quite loud because of the traffic outside. We just keep the windows shut and get on with the math. Most of the people who come in are local business owners from around Ghatkopar. They have their own problems with balance sheets and we try to sort them out. It’s a lot of back and forth with documents. I usually have some snacks in my drawer because the days get long during audit season. It’s a simple life here at Practising As C.A. and we aren't trying to be some huge corporation. Just a regular office doing regular work for regular people. The tea lady comes by twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We stay busy with the ledgers.
