Pehlay Akshar Foundation

Pehlay Akshar Foundation is in Mumbai, over in the Chembur area. We have an office in the Bezzola Complex, which is a CHS Ltd building on the 2nd floor. It’s on Sion Trombay Road, right opposite Suman Nagar. The office number is 208 and our pin is 400071. Chembur is a big, busy place and being on the main road means there’s always something happening outside. Our office isn't very large, but it's where we get everything done. We have a few desks, some old computers, and plenty of paperwork. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We don’t have a dress code or fancy meetings. We just sit together and figure out what needs to be done each day. Sometimes the traffic on Sion Trombay Road makes it hard to hear, but we don’t mind. It’s part of living in Mumbai. We’ve been in this building for several years now. The security guards know us and we know the other people on our floor. It’s a nice little community. We don't spend much time worrying about how we look to the outside world. We just focus on the work. It’s practical and it’s real. We’re just a group of people trying to do our part from a small office in Chembur. There are times when it gets stressful, but we just have some tea and get back to it. That’s just the way we do things around here. We’re just happy to have a roof over our heads and work to do.
