So, we are based over in Santacruz West, right near Poddar High School. If you’ve been around Plot 63, you’ve probably seen the La Magasin Premises building where we are on the second floor in unit 201. It’s a good spot, though parking around here is always a bit of a nightmare, especially when school lets out and the parents are everywhere. We go by Oi-Kitchen And Bar Llp. Most of our time is spent in the kitchen or behind the counter getting things ready for the evening crowd. It gets pretty loud and hectic once the shift starts, but that’s just how it is in this business. We deal with the usual stuff like late vegetable deliveries and broken glasses. The building itself is okay, we know the security guards and the other people working in the nearby units. It feels like a little community in this part of Mumbai. We don't have some big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us trying to keep the place running and making sure the fridge is stocked with what we need. Sometimes we sit out back for a quick break when things quiet down for a minute. The street noise from Santacruz is always there in the background, day and night. We’ve been here at this location for a while now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours on our feet, but it is what we do.
