Being in Shop Number 10 at the Parle Shopping Centre is quite an experience most days. Nf Niharikaa Exclusive Fabrics Private Limited is right in the middle of the SuperMarket CHS Ltd on Mongibai Road. Vile Parle East is always crowded with people doing their daily shopping. Our space is filled with different types of fabrics and sometimes it is hard to find a place to sit down. We have been here for a good amount of time and the neighbors all know us by now. It is not a very big shop but we make it work. Customers come in looking for something specific and we spend a lot of time digging through the shelves. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit and the air conditioning is a bit moody, but we don't mind. We are just here to do our jobs and go home. The traffic on Mongibai Road can be a real headache in the evenings. We see the same faces every day and that makes it feel like a real community. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the fabric is cut right and the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. It is a simple life in a busy market. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly and just try to stay on top of things as they come.
