New Cafe Sagar is tucked away in Jogeshwari West. We are in Khatija House, which is in the Khajoor Wadi area. It’s a small setup, just Room Number 2 near the Home Building. Jogeshwari is a crowded part of Mumbai, and our street is no different. It’s always noisy with bikes and people walking to the station. We are a small cafe, nothing too grand. We’ve got a couple of stoves and some basic furniture. It’s the kind of place where the tea is always hot and the snacks are simple. We don't have a website or a social media manager. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars. Most of our customers are people who live right here in the wadi or workers taking a break. It gets pretty cramped when more than five people come in at once, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We’ve been running this for a while, and it’s a steady routine. We know the milkman, we know the bread guy, and we know the local kids. It’s a small life but it’s ours. We don't need fancy signs to tell people who we are. They just know us from the street. Some days are slow, especially when it rains, but we just sit and wait for the next customer to walk in.
