We are based in Kandivali West at Bhanu Park. It’s a busy spot on Kasturba Road. The office is usually full of files for students wanting to head to the UK or Canada. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud but we get used to it. We spend most of our mornings checking emails from universities and making sure all the visa documents are in order. My desk is usually covered in folders and I often lose my pen. Mumbai is always moving and we try to keep up with the changes in rules for studying abroad. It isn't always easy because things change fast. People come in mostly in the afternoons after college lets out. We sit around the small table and talk through where they want to go. We’ve been here for a while now and the locals know us. The tea guy downstairs knows our order by heart. It’s just us doing the paperwork and making the phone calls. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and a lot of cabinets for the placement records. It’s a job where you see a lot of hopeful faces. Every day is different, really. Sometimes we are just waiting for a courier to arrive. We make sure the forms are filled right and sent off to the right places. It's a lot of detail work that takes time and patience for everyone involved.
