Our office is tucked away in Ghatkopar East, specifically in the Rajawadi area. We are in the Alaknanda Co-op Society, room 603. It is a residential neighborhood, so it is a bit different from the usual industrial zones you might expect for an embroidery association. We focus on luxury embroidery exports, which basically means we help coordinate things for the people making high-end work. The 7th Road near Valley is a decent place to be based. It is not as loud as the main markets. We spend our days talking to different exporters and seeing how the luxury market is moving. It is more about the details and the quality of the work than just moving big crates. Since we are an association, there is a lot of talking and meeting up to discuss how things are going in the industry. We have been in this society for some time now. It is a simple setup on the sixth floor. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy lobby. People who know us just come by or call. We just try to keep things organized for the members and make sure the embroidery work from Mumbai gets out to the rest of the world like it should. It is steady work, and we just handle the bits and pieces that come up every week without making a big fuss about it.
