Mohatta Foundation

Mohatta Foundation is based in Borivali West, right on Devidas Lane. Our office is B-1801 in the Aquaria Grande building. It’s a tall building, so we’re way up there on the 18th floor. Being that high up gives us a pretty good view of the neighborhood, though we spend most of our time looking at our desks and screens. The area around Devidas Lane is usually bustling, so it’s a bit of a relief to get inside and get to work. We don’t have a big corporate setup. It’s just a room with some computers and a bunch of files that seem to grow every day. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when we’re in the middle of a big task. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans painted on the walls. It’s just us, working through the daily chores that keep the foundation going. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we know the local shops and where to get the best snacks for the afternoon break. It feels more like a small family business than a foundation sometimes. We just show up, do our bit, and head home like everyone else in Borivali. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at Aquaria Grande for a while now and the security guards finally know our names, which is nice and makes us feel at home.
