Mission One Million Girls Education Foundation

Mission One Million Girls Education Foundation is based in Kandivali, right on M G Road. Our office is in B803 at Dheeraj Presidency, which is just across from the local swimming pool. It’s a busy area, but our building is relatively quiet once you get inside. We spend most of our time trying to figure out how to get more girls into classrooms. It’s a big goal, but we take it one step at a time. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a huge budget. Most of what we do involves talking to families and schools to see what’s stopping kids from attending. Sometimes it’s just a lack of books or a safe way to get to school. Our office is basically a few desks and a lot of notebooks. We aren't professional writers or marketing people, just some folks who think education is important. Some days are harder than others, especially when we hear about the struggles some families face. It makes us want to work harder. We don't use any complicated systems to track our work; we just keep a close eye on the girls we are helping. Being in a residential building means we are part of the community, and we like it that way. If you’re ever near the swimming pool on M G Road, you’re basically right at our doorstep.
