Our office is tucked away in Tower 3 of the Rustomjee Ozone complex. If you’ve ever been on the Goregaon Mulund Link Road, you know how busy it gets around here. We are up on the 13th floor, specifically in room 1303. It’s a residential society, but we run our import and export business from here. Goregaon West is a big area and there is always something happening. We spend most of our mornings on the phone or checking emails about shipments. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the road below. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters, just a place where we get the paperwork done. Dealing with metal and cores means lots of tracking numbers and logistics. Sometimes the internet acts up or the courier is late, but that’s just how it goes in Mumbai. We’ve lived and worked in this city for a long time, so we are used to the pace. The staff is small, just a few of us sitting around desks. We keep track of everything coming in and going out. It’s mostly routine stuff. We grab lunch from the local places nearby or bring it from home. The housing society is pretty quiet during the day which helps us focus. We don't have a big sign or anything, just our name on the door and our files organized the way we like them. It is simple but it works for us.
