We operate a flour mill, but our main office is in Andheri West. Specifically, we are at Peninsula Park on Veera Desai Road. It’s a big building, and we have a small cabin there, Cabin-B in Plot A-4. The actual mill work is a different story, but this is where we handle the business side of things. It’s often quite busy in this part of Mumbai. We spend our days on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on the grain shipments. It’s a lot of paperwork and tracking orders. The flour business is pretty straightforward but there are always small problems to solve. Sometimes the transport is late or the quality of the wheat isn't what we expected. We’ve been around the Chitralekha area for a while. We aren't some massive corporate entity with thousands of employees. We are just a few people sitting in a cabin making sure the mill keeps running and the flour gets delivered. It’s not very glamorous work. Most days involve staring at ledgers and making sure the taxes are paid. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the files pile up on the desk. Andheri is a fast place, and we just try to keep up with the pace. We make sure the Mata Rani name stands for something honest in the market without making a big fuss about it. We just do our work and go home.
