Our office is tucked away in the Charkop area of Kandivali West. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy it gets around Apna Bazar. We are located in the D wing of a building in the Mhada layout. It’s a bit of a maze to find us the first time because all the wings look somewhat similar, but once you get to room 602, you’re there. The space isn’t huge, but it fits our desks and the few computers we need to track our export shipments. There’s always the sound of traffic coming from the street below and people shouting near the market. We have been here for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The office has some old filing cabinets that are overflowing with export logs and shipping manifests. We usually have lunch together at our desks while discussing the logistics for the next week. It’s a very practical setup. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we are mostly focused on moving goods from one port to another. The humidity in Mumbai can be a bit much, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the D wing directly. We just keep the windows closed and the AC on when it works. It’s just a regular group of people working hard in a crowded part of the city. We hope to stay in this spot for many more years.
