We are based in the New Hill Park housing society, specifically in unit C/18. This part of Mumbai, with the 400 068 pincode, is where we spend most of our waking hours. M.A. Parikh & Co. is a firm that focuses on the regular stuff like taxes, audits, and general accounting. We are not a corporate giant with hundreds of employees. It is just a handful of us making sure that the numbers in the books match the numbers in the bank. Being located in a CHS means we are right there with the residents and local businesses. It is a bit more personal than being in a big office park. Our desks are usually covered in folders and various forms that need to be filed. We do not try to sound more important than we are. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the paperwork gets overwhelming, especially toward the end of the financial year, but we just take it one file at a time. People come to us when they are confused about their taxes or when they need an audit done for their small company. We listen, look at the papers, and try to find a solution. It is not fancy work, but it is necessary for keeping things running. We have been in this spot for a while and have a good rhythm going. It is a steady job in a busy city, and we are happy to be here in the New Hill Park community.
