Our firm is based at 1, Santosh Bhuwan, located in Kokani Pada within Kurar Village. This is over in Malad East, Mumbai 400097. It’s a very busy part of the suburbs. Being in Kurar Village means we are surrounded by a lot of small shops and homes. The office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just walk in when they have a question about their taxes or audits. We’ve got a couple of ceiling fans that stay on all day to keep the heat away. There are usually a few of us working here at any given time, hunched over our desks. We deal with a lot of paperwork, so there are boxes of files tucked into every corner. It’s not a very modern office, but it works for what we do. We like the local vibe of Malad East. You hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long, which is better than sitting in a silent, cold office. We don't put on airs here. We just take the work as it comes and try to stay on top of the deadlines that the government sets. Most of our day is spent double-checking calculations and making sure no one made a typo in a ledger. We usually grab lunch from the nearby stalls and then get right back to the bank statements and balance sheets until evening.
