Our little office is tucked away on the ground floor near the Taqdir Hotel in Kalina. We are in room number four of the Mohtr Pak building. It’s a bit of a maze back here in Santacruz East, but once you find us, it’s easy enough. We’ve been operating as Madgunde Realtors for a while now. Most of our work happens right here in the Kolekalyan area. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of people moving in and out. We help with those moves, mostly dealing with local housing and small commercial spaces. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at the desk surrounded by files and tea cups. We like the local feel of being near the hotel; there’s always something going on outside. Dealing with real estate in Mumbai is always a bit of a puzzle, but we’ve gotten good at putting the pieces together. We don't use any high-pressure tactics. We just tell people what we know about the houses and the landlords around here. Some days are slow and some are incredibly packed with meetings, but that’s the nature of the job. We are just regular people trying to make a living by helping others find their spot in this big city. It’s not a glamorous lifestyle, but it's okay and it keeps us going.
