Our office is tucked away in Express Enclave, right on the Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you know where the Bisleri factory is or if you’re heading past Hindustan Lever. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual chaos of Mumbai construction. Traffic on the link road can be a real headache, but being central helps us get to our different sites without too much trouble. We’re a small team, mostly just a few of us who have been in the building trade for years. We handle the day-to-day stuff like permits, talking to contractors, and checking on how the walls are coming up. It’s not a glamorous life, mostly just a lot of phone calls and dusty boots. We decided to set up the LLP because we wanted to do things our own way, without all the corporate layers you see in the bigger firms. Some days are smoother than others. When a project is nearing the end, things get hectic and we’re usually at the office late. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby; usually, you just walk in and find one of us at a desk covered in blueprints. It’s just how we work. We like being part of the neighborhood and seeing new buildings go up where there used to be nothing but empty space and old sheds.
