Kim Fashion (Exports) Llp is located in the Samhita Industrial Estate, which is on the Andheri Kurla Road. We are in unit 2/B. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is always packed with activity. There are small workshops and big warehouses all over the place. We’ve been here for a bit, handling the export side of things for fashion items. It’s a lot of work with fabrics, designs, and shipping schedules. The industrial estate has a specific kind of energy, everyone is busy making things or moving them out. Our space is practical. We have samples hanging up and boxes ready to go. It’s not a showroom; it’s where the actual work happens. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that’s just life in an industrial zone. We spend a lot of time checking quality and making sure the sizes are right. Fashion changes so fast, it’s a bit of a scramble to keep up sometimes. We don’t have a big marketing team. It’s just us making sure the clothes get to where they need to be on time. We’ve made some good friends in the neighboring units over the years. We share a cup of tea and talk about how the road construction is going. It’s a simple life, focused on the details of the garments and the honesty of the trade we’re in.
