Khush4Um Foundation

We are over at Jeevan Vibhuti on Hajibapu Road in Malad East. Our place is 303, in the B Wing. It’s a typical Malad neighborhood, very crowded and full of life. You can hear the sounds of the street all day long. Khush4Um Foundation isn't a big operation. We have a small room with a few computers and a lot of notebooks. We spend a lot of time talking to people who walk in off the street. Malad has its own set of challenges, and we try to help out where we can. It’s not always easy, and some days are better than others. We don't have a lot of money to throw around, so we have to be smart about how we use what we have. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the rain is heavy. We’re just a group of friends and neighbors who decided to do something useful. There’s no big corporate structure here. We just decide what needs to be done and we go out and do it. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we learn and keep going. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be something we’re not. It’s just us, working out of a small office in a busy part of Mumbai, trying to lend a hand to whoever needs it in the local community.
