Kauthar Welfare Foundation

We are located at Flat No. 401 in the Concrete Heritage building. This is on Waroda Road in Bandra West. If you know Mumbai, you know Bandra is always busy and crowded. Our building is tucked away a bit, but you still hear the rickshaws and cars outside all day long. The office is basically just an apartment that we have turned into a workspace. It is a bit old, and the lift sometimes acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. There are four of us usually here. We have some desks pushed against the walls to make space for people to walk. Kauthar Welfare Foundation has been running from this spot for a bit. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in our ledgers. It is a very lived-in space. There are stacks of paper on the shelves and a small kitchen where we make tea. It is not fancy at all. We like it this way because it feels like home. Being in Bandra means people can find us easily enough, though parking is always a headache on Waroda Road. We just do our work without making a big fuss. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone is talking at once, but that is just part of being in a small office in Mumbai. We stay until the work is finished for the day. Usually, we close up around six or seven in the evening.
