K Sisters Foundation

K Sisters Foundation is based at Silvercrest CHS in Chandivali. We are in A-201, which is quite close to the Bombay Scottish School. If you know the area, you know how hectic it gets around here during school drop-off and pick-up times. We can hear the kids and the buses from our window all day. The foundation is run by us, just two sisters who wanted to start something meaningful together. We use our apartment as the main hub. It’s a normal home with a kitchen and a TV, but one corner is entirely taken up by our foundation work. We don't have a fancy board of directors or a big office in a glass building. Most of our meetings happen over tea in the morning before the day gets too busy. We do a lot of community-focused work right here in Raheja Vihar. Sometimes we’re sorting through clothes or books to give away, and other times we’re just planning small neighborhood events. It gets a bit crowded when we have people over to help, but we don't mind the squeeze. We’ve lived here for a while, so we know most of the people in the building. It’s a very local, family-oriented way of doing things. There’s no corporate polish here, just a lot of hard work and sometimes a bit of sisterly arguing over where to put the latest stack of papers.
