Jn Meraki Welfare Foundation

Jn Meraki Welfare Foundation is tucked away in Ghatkopar West. We are at Sheetal Apartment, which is on Sant N.M. Road in the New Maneklal Estate. Our office is in flat A-2. It is a residential area, so it feels a lot different than being in a big commercial high-rise. You can hear kids playing or people doing their daily shopping nearby. The office itself is just a converted apartment space. It’s got that cozy, slightly cramped feeling you get in Mumbai. We have our desks set up where the living room used to be, and the kitchen area is mostly used for storing supplies and making the occasional round of tea. We don’t have any fancy branding on the walls, just a few calendars and some basic furniture. The Sant N.M. Road is usually busy, so there is always a bit of background noise from the street. Finding Sheetal Apartment is easy enough once you get into Maneklal Estate, but people sometimes walk past A-2 without realizing it’s an office. We like it that way; it keeps things low-key. We spend most of our time here going through files or talking on the phone with people. It’s a simple, honest setup that works for us. There is no corporate polish here, just a group of people working out of a flat to get things done. It’s practical and it’s right in the heart of the community.
