Janta Raja Foundation

You can find us at 10 Zeenat Cottage, down in the lower part of Kharodi on Marve Road. We’re right near St. John English School, so we hear the school bell and the kids playing every day. Malad West is a crowded place, and our little cottage is tucked away from the main noise of the traffic. It’s an old building, nothing fancy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Janta Raja Foundation is basically just a group of us who grew up around here. We know the streets and the people. We don't have a big board of directors or anything like that. It’s more like a neighborhood gathering point. We do a lot of our work right out of the front room. People from the school or the nearby houses drop in to talk. It gets a bit cramped when more than five people are inside, but we make it work. We’re not looking to become some massive brand. We just want to do right by the folks in Malad. Some days we're just sorting through donations or organizing local events on the fly. It’s a bit disorganized at times, but we’re honest about it. We’re just regular people trying to stay busy with something meaningful in our own backyard. The traffic on Marve Road can be a real headache in the evenings, but being so close to the school means there's always life around.
