You can find us at 9/76 in Motilal Nagar No.1, Goregaon West. We’re tucked right behind the Ekta Trepolis building on Road No. 9. It’s a busy, loud part of Mumbai, and there's always some construction or traffic noise going on outside our windows. We usually just call ourselves Jago, which is much shorter and easier to remember than the full name. We started this whole thing because we wanted to get people active and involved in the things that actually matter to their daily lives. Our office is a small, crowded room packed with flyers, old notebooks, and stacks of posters. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or meeting people in the local tea stalls to talk about community issues. It’s not a polished corporate setup at all. We have mismatched chairs and a printer that only works when it feels like it. But we get things done regardless of the mess. We focus on getting folks to stand up for their rights and help each other out when things get tough. Sometimes we hold small meetings in the narrow lane outside when the office gets too crowded with people. We’ve been living in Goregaon for a long time, so we know the local problems and the people here pretty well. We don't have a big staff, just a few dedicated people who think taking action is better than just talking. It’s a bit chaotic, and our schedules are never the same. We’re just regular people.
