You can find us at Gala No 30 inside the Gundecha Industrial Complex on Akurli Road. Kandivali East is usually packed with people and trucks, so it is always a bit lively around here. Indiadocs Films Llp has been in this gala for some time now. It is not the kind of place you see in movies, which is a bit funny given what we do. It is a practical space with high ceilings and plenty of dust from the neighboring units. We spend most of our time here working on film projects, mostly documentary stuff. The light in the complex is a bit harsh, but we have our own setup inside. There is a small tea stall nearby where we go when the editing gets too much. We aren't a big production house with a lot of money to throw around. We just care about the stories we are trying to tell. The neighbors are mostly into manufacturing or storage, so we are a bit different from the rest of the block. Getting equipment in and out can be a struggle when the corridors are blocked by boxes. But we make it work. It is an honest way to earn a living in Mumbai. We stay late most nights, especially when a deadline is coming up. The security guards know us by now. It is just us and our cameras and a lot of hard work in this little corner of Maharashtra.
