I Thank You Foundation

We are located up on the seventh floor of the Shantanu building on St Martins Road in Bandra West. It’s a nice enough spot, though the wind can get quite strong that high up. I Thank You Foundation started from a very simple idea of just being grateful and helping out where we can. The office is small, mostly just one main room with some desks pushed against the walls. Bandra is always moving, and we can see the tops of the trees and some of the older houses from our window. We don't have a fancy lobby or a person sitting at a front desk. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters. It's quiet work for the most part. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants, though they look a bit sad in the summer heat. Our furniture is a mix of stuff we've picked up over the years. Nothing matches, but it's comfortable enough. We don't have a grand vision we talk about in meetings. We just look at what needs to be done that day and try to get it finished. Sometimes we stay late because the work is never really done. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep each other motivated when things get stressful. It’s just a group of people doing their bit for the neighborhood.
