We set up shop in room 303 of Nirmal Apartment, which is right on Shankar Lane in Kandivali West. It’s a busy residential neighborhood, and we like the feeling of being right in the thick of it. Our story isn't complicated because we aren't a complicated bunch of people. We just sell clothes. Most of our days are spent in this third-floor apartment sorting through inventory, checking orders that come in through the phone, and making sure the courier guys find us okay. Shankar Lane can get pretty crowded with the market nearby, so it’s always a bit of a struggle when we have large deliveries arriving. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who have known each other for years. We aren't trying to be some global fashion brand; we just want to provide decent clothes to people who want them. The apartment is filled with boxes most of the time, and we use the small kitchen area to make tea for ourselves and any visitors who drop by. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We don’t spend money on fancy advertisements or polished websites. We just rely on the fact that we do our job and don't try to cheat anyone. If you’re ever around Kandivali West, you’ll probably see us hauling bags of stock up the stairs because the lift is out of order again. It's just how we get things done.
