Hugging Club Foundation

We started Hugging Club Foundation because we saw a need here in Borivali West. Our office is up on the third floor of Irma Society, in Saibaba Nagar. It's a small place, Flat C/8 actually, but it gets the job done for what we're trying to do. Most of us grew up around here or have lived in this part of Mumbai for a long time. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices or anything like that. We just focus on helping people out in whatever way we can day to day. Sometimes things get busy and the office is a bit crowded, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working on the ground. We handle things as they come. People know where to find us if they need to talk or if they have questions about what's going on in the neighborhood. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who care about the community. It can be a lot of work sometimes, and we don't always get everything right the first time, but we keep showing up. Being located right here in Saibaba Nagar helps us stay connected to what's actually happening on the streets. We're just regular people trying to make things a little easier for others. It’s not complicated, just plain work. We usually have someone at the desk, though sometimes we're out running errands or meeting people. If you walk up to the third floor, you'll see our sign. It's a quiet building mostly, which is nice for getting things done.
