Our little office and workspace is at D-15 in Udyog Sadan Number 2. It’s situated on Mahakali Caves Road in the Marol area of Andheri. If you know the area, you know it’s a hub for all sorts of small businesses and workshops. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and it’s where we do all our creative work and planning. The building is one of those typical Mumbai industrial structures that’s seen better days, but it’s sturdy and gives us the space we need. Inside, it’s usually a bit of a mess with sketches, fabric swatches, and half-finished projects scattered around. We don’t really mind the clutter because it shows we’re actually doing something. Being in Marol is convenient for us because everything we need is just a short rickshaw ride away. The noise from the road can be a bit much sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren’t a big corporation with hundreds of employees; it’s just a few of us trying to make something unique. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or a polished marketing plan. We just show up, try to make things that look good, and hope people like them enough to buy them. It’s a simple life, and we’re happy just being able to do what we love right here in the middle of Mumbai. We usually stay till the sun goes down and the traffic quietens.
