Our work happens at Unit Number 4 in the Nand Ghanshyam Industrial Estate. It’s right in Andheri East, which is pretty much the heart of everything happening in Mumbai. Being in an industrial estate means there’s always something going on, whether it’s a neighbor moving heavy machinery or a delivery van blocking the lane. Our unit is where we keep all our stock and handle the daily operations. It’s a practical space, mostly concrete and metal, but it serves its purpose. We don’t have a fancy showroom or any of that. If you come by, you’ll just see us working away, probably surrounded by a lot of boxes and packing tape. Andheri can be a real headache with the traffic, especially in the evenings, but being here means we’re close to our suppliers and the transport hubs. We’ve put a lot of time into making this small unit work for us. It’s a bit of a one-man show sometimes, or at least a very small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything—from sweeping the floor to answering the emails. We like the grit of the industrial estate; it keeps us grounded. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to make sure the things we send out are decent and that we’re still in business tomorrow. It’s just honest work in a busy part of the city. We don't mind the noise much anymore, it's just part of the day.
