Hhpv Foods Private Limited is situated right behind the Ice Factory in Chandivali. We are on Saki Vihar Road, which is in Kurla West, though everyone just calls this area Chandivali. The traffic on Saki Vihar Road is legendary for being slow, so we are used to the constant sound of engines outside. Being near the Ice Factory is actually quite helpful when we have to give people directions. Our place is a bit of a rugged setup. It is more of a warehouse and dispatch point than a fancy office. We deal with various food items and the place is always full of crates and boxes. The floor is concrete and it gets quite cool because of the nearby ice factory, which is a nice change from the Mumbai heat. We have a small cabin for the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the main floor. The staff is mostly local guys who know the shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic. We don't use any complicated systems; we just keep a manual log of what goes out and what comes in. It’s a bit of a grind, especially during the monsoon when the roads get flooded, but we manage to keep things moving. We aren't here to look important; we are just here to get the food orders sorted and delivered to where they need to go.
