You can find Hg Gems Llp in The Capital building, which is right behind the ICICI Bank in BKC. We are in the B-wing on the 102nd spot. It’s a big glass building, very different from the older parts of Bandra East. Inside, though, our office is just a place where we sit down and look at gemstones. We deal with gems all day, mostly checking how they look and sorting them into different batches. The area is always buzzing with people in suits, but we just wear our regular clothes and get to work. It can get a bit clinical in these modern offices, so we tried to put a few plants near the window to make it feel more like home. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. We just need a secure place to keep the stones and a good light to see them. Getting to G-block can be a hassle with the traffic, especially in the evenings, but being centrally located helps with meetings. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking through a loupe. It’s meticulous work, and it can be tiring on the eyes after a few hours. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea because we drink a lot of it while we work. It’s just us doing what we’ve been doing for years. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing the work that needs doing every single day to stay on track.
