Fudge'S Rescue Foundation

Our spot is in Andheri West, specifically at Vashveen Apartments on J P Road. We are on the third floor, room B/301. It’s right near the 7 Bunglow Depot, so it’s always busy outside with buses and people rushing around Mumbai. Being in 7 Bunglows means there’s always something happening. Our apartment-turned-office is usually a bit loud because of the street traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. It’s not a huge place, but we make the most of every square inch. We have some supplies stacked in the corners and desks squeezed into the main room. Since we do rescue work, things can get a bit chaotic. You might find some crates or bags of food sitting around depending on the day. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably just walk straight into where we are working. The building is one of those older Mumbai blocks, so the elevator is a bit temperamental sometimes. We spend a lot of time on our phones or the computer, coordinating things across the city. It’s a lot of coordination and late nights. We aren't here to look professional; we are here to handle the animals and the problems that come up. It’s a hands-on kind of life in a very crowded part of town, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. It gets messy and loud, but that is the reality.
