Our office is way up on the 24th floor of Richmond Tower. It’s one of those big buildings in Powai, right on Cliff Avenue. Being so high up means we get a view of the Hiranandani Garden area, but honestly, we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. We are near the Hiranandani School, so in the mornings and afternoons, the roads down below get really packed with parents and buses. The tower is quite modern, but our internal space is just a regular office. We have desks, some filing cabinets, and a small area where we can sit and eat our lunch. It feels a bit like a maze in these large towers sometimes. We’ve got the 400076 postcode, which is a busy part of Mumbai. People think working in a place like this is all glitz, but it’s mostly just answering phones and typing out reports. The air conditioning is always humming in the background because it gets stuffy otherwise. We see the same faces in the elevator every day. It’s a professional enough environment, but we keep our corner of it pretty relaxed. No one is wearing suits unless they absolutely have to. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to keep things moving along. It’s just how we do things here in our little part of the 2401 section. We stay until the work is finished.
