You can find us at Gala No. 103 in Kamala Bhavan. It is on Walbhat Road in Goregaon East. It is a pretty busy industrial-style building. We do couture work, which basically means we spend a lot of time on the small details of the clothes. The gala is our main workspace. It is not a huge showroom or anything like that, just where the actual making happens. Walbhat Road can get very congested, especially with all the small units and trucks around. We have got a lot of sewing machines and cutting tables squeezed into the space. There are rolls of fabric stacked against the walls in the corners. It can get a bit dusty with all the threads flying around. We usually have the windows open when it isn't raining, but in the monsoon, we have to keep everything shut tight. The light in the gala isn't the best, so we have a lot of overhead lamps. We have been in Goregaon for a while now and we like being part of the local hub. There are plenty of places to get a quick snack or a cup of tea nearby. It is a hardworking environment. We are not trying to impress anyone with a fancy office; we just want a place where we can focus on the garments. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is just how it goes when you are making things.
