Our place is located in Bharat Nagar, which is right in the middle of the Bandra Kurla Complex area in Mumbai. It’s officially at 40/620, but most people just know us by the smell of the food cooking in the afternoon. Being in BKC means things are always moving fast, with people in suits rushing around everywhere. Ellisbridge Comfort Foods Llp is a bit different because we focus on comfort foods, the kind of stuff that makes you feel better after a long morning at work. The space isn’t huge, it’s actually quite tight when we get busy, but we make it work. There’s always a pile of containers somewhere and the sound of the stove going. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby, just the kitchen and the counter where we hand out the orders. It gets a bit chaotic around 1 PM, and sometimes we run out of things sooner than we expected, but that’s just how it goes. Mumbai is a loud, busy city and we are right in the thick of it in Bandra East. We started this because we liked the idea of simple food that doesn’t cost too much. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just trying to make sure the folks working in the offices nearby have something decent to eat for lunch. It’s a simple life, mostly spent in the kitchen, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
