We are based in the Adani Inspire building, which is in the G-Block of the Bandra Kurla Complex. Our unit is 309 on the third floor. BKC is very different from the rest of Mumbai with its big glass buildings and wide roads, but inside our office, it feels like any other hardworking business. We have our desks set up in a way that lets us talk to each other while we work on our ruby inventory. It’s a modern building, so the elevators actually work and the power doesn't go out, which is a nice change from some of our old spots. We don’t have any expensive art or leather chairs; we just use what works for the job. The commute to Bandra East can be a real struggle in the evenings when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. We usually stay a bit late to let the traffic die down before heading home. The office is mostly quiet, except for the hum of the air conditioning and the tapping of keyboards. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking the quality of the stones that come in. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t make a big deal about being in a fancy building; we’re just here to do the work. It’s a comfortable enough space for the team to get through their daily tasks without much fuss or unnecessary chatter.
