If you find yourself over in Malad East, specifically near Gaushala Lane, you might know the Shukra Building. Dm Gems Llp is tucked away on the seventh floor, in office number five. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, especially when it’s raining or really hot outside, but we’ve gotten used to the commute. The Diamond Market area around here is always crowded with bikes and people trying to get through the narrow lanes. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a place to sit down and handle our business. We’ve been at this address for a bit now. Most of the people working here have lived in Mumbai their whole lives. We handle gems and stones, which is quiet work compared to the noise outside on the street. It gets pretty busy during the middle of the week. We try to stay organized, though the desk usually ends up covered in paperwork by lunchtime. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure everything is sorted correctly. We know the neighbors in the building, and we usually grab tea from the same guy downstairs. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we do. Malad is a good place to be based even if the traffic can be a nightmare in the evenings. We just do the work that comes in and keep going.
