Our office for Devsya Imports And Exports is on the third floor of Jamnadas Tower. If you know Ghatkopar West, we are right behind Patidar Wadi on Jalaram Bappa Road. It's a busy part of Mumbai, always something going on outside. We deal with bringing things in and sending things out, mostly international trade. It’s not a glamorous job. Most of the day is spent on the computer checking tracking numbers or on the phone with customs brokers. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a workout if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. We chose this spot because it's central for us. We handle a variety of goods, whatever needs moving. It’s a lot of checking documents and making sure we have the right codes for everything. We aren't a huge corporation with fancy boardrooms. It’s just a practical office where we get stuff done. The area is quite traditional, and we have been here long enough to know the local tea stall and the other businesses around us. We don't try to sound bigger than we are. We just do our work, manage the shipments, and try to keep things moving smoothly. There are always some hiccups with international shipping, like port strikes or paperwork errors, but we just deal with them. It is what it is. We just keep at it every day, managing the flow of trade.
