Collaborative Design Studio Llp

Our office is tucked away in Borivali East at Shantidwar CHS, right near the National Park entrance. You can actually feel the difference in the air when you get off the train and head toward Shantivan. Being in D/701 means we have a decent spot that stays mostly quiet, except for the usual sounds of a Mumbai residential society. Collaborative Design Studio Llp is basically a bunch of us who decided that working from home was getting a bit lonely. We have these large windows that look out toward the greenery, which is a nice break from looking at blueprints all day long. The kitchen area is mostly used for making endless rounds of coffee and keeping our lunch boxes. We have a couple of large tables pushed together in the main room so we can all see what everyone else is doing. It gets a bit messy with rolls of paper and different pens everywhere, but that’s just part of the process. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello, or we get stuck talking to the security guard for twenty minutes on the way up. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we like it that way. No one wears a suit here, and we usually have some radio playing softly in the background while we try to figure out our next layout. It makes the long hours feel a bit shorter when you're in good company.
