CHANDRAVIM EXIM PRIVATE LIMITED. We are up on the seventh floor of the B2B Center in Malad West. It’s in the Orlem Kanchpada area, right on Shankar Lane. If you’ve ever tried to drive through Malad, you know how the traffic can be. It’s a lively neighborhood though. Our office, room 707, is where all the export-import stuff happens. It’s a co-operative society building, so there are lots of other small businesses around us. You see the same faces in the elevator every day. We don’t have a big lobby with a fountain or anything. It’s just desks, computers, and a lot of files. We deal with international trade, so we are often working odd hours to match different time zones. It can get a bit tiring but we are used to it. The view from the seventh floor is okay, mostly just other rooftops and the busy street below. We aren't a corporate giant. We are just a few people trying to run a decent business. We don't have fancy titles or a dress code. Most days we are just in regular clothes, drinking coffee and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails. We keep our overhead low and just focus on the task at hand. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been in Malad for a bit and it feels like home for the company. There’s no big secret to how we work.
