We are over at B-23 in the Gitanjali Building. That is on J Nehru Road in Santacruz East. If you spend any time in Mumbai, you know that Santacruz is a place that never really stops moving. The building we are in is one of the older ones in the neighborhood, and our office is up on the second floor. It is nothing like those big glass towers you see over in BKC. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been in this room for a long time. The windows are usually open, so we get a lot of noise from the traffic on the street below. You get used to it after a few days, though. We are not trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or a person at a front desk. You just walk right in and talk to whoever happens to be sitting there at the time. Usually, it is me or one of the other staff members. We have a tiny kitchen area in the back where we make our tea and snacks. We spend a good part of the morning talking through what needs to be done for the day. It is definitely not a corporate environment. We wear our slippers and keep things very casual. We handle whatever comes up as best as we can. It gets a bit messy with all the papers, but that is just how we operate. It's a real place for real work.
