Bourbon Artisan Bakery Llp is over in Mankhurd, Mumbai, specifically at 28-C, Ashish Farm on S T Road. Our place is right opposite Nutan Vidya Mandir. If you know that school, you can find us easily. Mumbai is a crowded place, and this neighborhood is no exception. There’s always the sound of horns and people talking outside. We work in the bakery every day, handling the dough and keeping the ovens at a steady heat. Being on S T Road means we see a lot of the local traffic. The building is part of the Ashish Farm area. Inside, it’s all about the bread and the pastries. We don't use a lot of big machines; a lot of it is done by hand. My hands are usually covered in flour by nine in the morning. We don't have a fancy storefront with glass displays. It's more of a workshop feel inside. We have to be quick because the humidity in Mumbai is always there. We keep the doors open when it isn't too dusty to let the air move through. It’s a busy life, trying to keep up with the orders while managing the heat of the kitchen. We just do the work and try to get home before the evening rush becomes too much. It is what it is, just a daily routine of baking and cleaning until the sun goes down and we lock up.
