Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation

I am sitting here in our office at Raheja Township in Malad East, looking out towards the Panchvati building across the way. Malad East is a bit humid today, which is pretty standard for Mumbai. Our foundation, the Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation, is based right here in New Gitanjali CHS, specifically plot 17. Raheja Township is not a fancy place with glass walls or polished marble floors. It is just a regular room where we keep our files and meet people who have questions about their health. Dealing with diabetes is a daily grind for many, and we just try to be a spot where folks can come and talk about their struggles without feeling like they are in a sterile clinic. Most of the time, it is just us answering calls or helping someone figure out their insulin routine. We have been in this part of Malad for a while now. Neighbors know us by name, and we know the local tea seller around the corner. A practical setup is all we need to get things done. We do not have big events every day. The traffic on the road outside gets a bit loud, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. We keep things simple here. There is no corporate talk or big speeches. We are just a few people who understand what it is like to live with this condition. Most of our time is spent just organizing local meet-ups. It is honest work, and we like being right here in the township.
