Avi Alimchandani Foundation

We spend most of our time here at the B Wing of Kanakia Wall Street in Chakala. If you know Andheri East, you know it gets pretty busy around here with the traffic and people everywhere. Our office is just a place where we get together to figure things out for the foundation. Avi Alimchandani started this because there was work that needed doing and we just stepped in to help. It’s not a fancy setup at all, just some desks, chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of paperwork usually piled up in the corners. Most mornings start with making some tea and going over what happened the day before. We’ve been at this for a while now. The building is quite large and modern, so sometimes people get a bit lost looking for room 1011, but we’re usually inside working away. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls to different people. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to make us look polished. It’s just us trying to keep things moving forward from this spot in Mumbai. Sometimes the traffic noise from the street is loud, but we’re used to it. We try to stay organized, though some days are more chaotic than others when a lot of things land on our desks at once. It’s decent work and it keeps us occupied. We like the area because it’s easy for people to reach us by train, even if the parking is a bit of a headache. That’s pretty much how it goes here every day.
