Arihanto Jain Foundation

We’ve been here at the Odiance Shopping Center in Ghatkopar for a while now. It’s a busy spot, right in B-4 of the Jyoti CHS on Vallabhbaug Lane. If you know Mumbai, you know how noisy it gets around here with the traffic and the shops, but we like the energy. Most days, we are just working through the usual stuff that comes with running a foundation. It’s not fancy or anything. There’s no big reception desk or leather chairs. It’s mostly just us sitting around a couple of tables with folders and tea. People sometimes drop by when they are out doing their shopping nearby. We mostly keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. Sometimes the lights flicker when it rains heavy, that’s just how things go in this building. It’s an old place but it works for us. We started this because there was a need, and we just stayed. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a few of us trying to make sense of the paperwork and help out where we can. It’s hard work, and sometimes we get behind on emails, but we try our best to keep up. If you’re ever walking down Vallabhbaug Lane, you might see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a place where work happens every day. We’ve grown to know the neighbors and the tea stall guy pretty well over the years.
