We are situated in Andheri West, right above the Bata showroom in Laram Centre. It’s on the second floor, C/5. If you know M.A. Road, you know it’s one of the busiest places you can be. There’s always music playing from the shops and people shouting outside. We spend our days cutting up fruits and running the blenders. The floor is usually a bit sticky from the juice spills, no matter how much we mop it. It’s a fast-paced kind of job. We don’t have time for fancy decorations or polished marketing. We have these big refrigerators that hum all day long and piles of oranges and watermelons sitting in the corner. When the train station nearby lets out, we get a huge wave of people. It’s hectic. The staff stays busy behind the counter, mostly just shouting orders to each other over the noise of the machines. We’ve been here for a while and the location is good because everyone passes by the Bata shop. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so it gets crowded when people are coming and going. We don’t do much advertising. People just see the sign or smell the fresh fruit and come up. It’s not a quiet place to sit and think. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s always full of people looking for a quick drink before they catch their next bus or train.
