Aamhi Swachhandi Foundation

Our office for the Aamhi Swachhandi Foundation is in Mulund West, right in the Sarvodaya Nagar area. We are located in Ambika Apartments, specifically in unit CT-4/24. Mulund is a place where many of us have lived for our whole lives, so it felt natural to set up our foundation here. We aren’t a big, polished company. We are just a group of locals who wanted to do something together. The office is just a regular apartment room. It’s filled with old files, some chairs, and always a few umbrellas near the door because the Mumbai monsoon can be unpredictable. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or a team of people to handle our public relations. We just talk to our neighbors and try to help with whatever is going on. Sometimes we have meetings that go on too long because we end up talking about other things, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with friends. We don't use a lot of complicated language or try to sound more important than we are. We are just regular people who go to the same markets and walk the same streets as everyone else in Mulund. We take things one day at a time and try to be helpful where we can. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a simple foundation run by people who genuinely care about their own neighborhood and its residents.
